Hurray!

I am happy to report that yesterday went swimmingly!  I helped groom two dogs, one Maltese and one Miniature Poodle, and it was so much fun!  I was crazy nervous, like shaking nervous,  but once I got started it came back to me and they  seemed rather pleased with my work :)

The  two owners both have 5 dogs, and compete with them in dog shows.  I must have made a good impression sense they asked me yesterday (my FIRST DAY) if I wanted to be their "Kennel Girl" and go to dog shows with them to help out!!!  Super excited about this,  I hope it's something that actually happens!

They are both very calm and gentle with the dogs, which I like, and they both showed general interest who I am.  One of them is actually Finnish, and moved to Sweden for Love (Sound familiar???)  So we spent a lot of time talking about what it's like to move to a new country and basically start over again from scratch.  It's nice to have someone I can relate to on that level.

All and all yesterday was a great day, we had so much fun that we actually lost track of time and I missed my buss!  So a half hour of overtime on my first day, but I didn't mind at all :)

Hurray!

Internship!!!

So today I had an interview at a local pet store/ grooming salon and it went really
well.  So well in fact that I am their new intern!  I am SUPER psyched about this, I love working with dogs and sense I have experience in a grooming salon this obviously is a great fit  for me!  I'll be doing the basics, bathing, brushing, nails and so on.  But they said that they may eventually teach me how to do some of the hair trimming as well!!!  There are two owners there, both are super nice, calm, and accommodating.  I really think this will be a wonderful thing for me and I can't wait for Monday to come so I can get started!!!

Miss Mango Is Happy!!!

3am

Today I woke up at 3am.  Why? I have no idea.  The whole thing is rather annoying actually.  But as I was not able to fall back asleep I was forced to prepare for the day.  Very quietly.  Like a little mongoose.  A mongoose of doom.

Sense then I've been killing time, playing with hair extensions and taking pictures of myself in the bathroom mirror like every other twenty-something-with-an-iPhone.

Today should be relatively calm, there's a guy coming to look at the apartment around 14.00,  but other than that we should have a pretty uneventful Saturday.

I'm in a surprisingly good mood for having woken up at 3am...  especially when you consider how crappy my head-space has been the last few weeks.  But hey, I'll take it!  Hopefully this will continue and I'll be able to pull myself out of this rut.

Epilepsy diagnoses? now with double the annoying!

Soooooo Yesterday My viking and I met with a Neurologist regarding the results of my 24 hour EEG.  The tests showed that there were no epileptic events, not even when I fell with the machine on.  So I asked the Dr, "Does this mean I don't have epilepsy?" and he said "Njeeeeaaaaah weeeeell...."  Apparently because the FIRST EEG showed a tiny bit of epileptic activity he can only say that the data points away from epilepsy, instead of a solid yes or no answer.  ANNOYING!  He then went on to preach to me how all of my problems are psychiatric based.  Which also pissed me right the hell off.  It's like telling a stressed person that if they weren't so stressed everything would be less stressful. SO STOP STRESSING!  blech, idiots.
Anyhoo, so the Doc. wants to take me off the epilepsy medication, which I am all for.  (I mean, why be on medication I don't need?)  However even that can't be simple, because in order to remove the medication safely I have to be PUT IN THE HOSPITAL FOR A WEEK!!!  This is so they can "observe" me during the withdrawal period.  Ug I'm not looking forward to it.  I'm going to get a call at the beginning of next week to set up when it will happen.  Joy of joys.

I leave you now, with a picture of a frog in a hat.
